Baseball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Foothill can now relate to. They fell 7-4 to the Las Vegas Wildcats on Wednesday. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Foothill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Straily, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 19-12-1. As for Las Vegas, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season.

Foothill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Las Vegas, they will square off against Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
