Baseball Recap: Leeds Takes a Loss

Leeds lost against Calera back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Leeds came up short against Calera, falling 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Greenwave have suffered since April 26, 2024.

Conner Nelson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Bedell, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Leeds is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-8. As for Calera, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leeds will challenge Carver Birmingham at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calera, they will take on McAdory at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
