Warrior Run came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mifflinburg Wildcats, sneaking past 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-7 last Friday.

Landon Polcyn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Griffen Harrington, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Isaiah Betz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Warrior Run's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Mifflinburg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Looking ahead, Warrior Run will look to defend their home field on Friday against Milton at 4:30 p.m. The Defenders are facing the Black Panthers at the right time seeing as the Black Panthers are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Mifflinburg, they will challenge Midd-West at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
