Softball Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Del Norte Knights        
        
		
            
 Valley can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Thursday. They blew past the Del Norte Knights 12-1. The  victory was just what Valley needed coming off of  a  13-6 loss in their prior  match.
  Alexus Zubia-Olivas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Zubia-Olivas was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Viviana Montoya was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Myriah Cordova, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 On Del Norte's side, they saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sierra Linebarger, who  went 1-for-2 with a  triple and  an  RBI.
 Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Del Norte, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost five of their last six games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will  challenge Bernalillo at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Valley will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last. As for Del Norte, they will head out on the road to  take on  Manzano at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Manzano is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.3  runs per game  this season.
