Basketball Game Preview: Thomson Bulldogs vs. Josey Eagles

Thomson is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Josey is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Thomson made easy work of Laney and carried off a 56-32 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Josey earned a 66-58 win over Butler on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Thomson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season. As for Josey, their win bumped their record up to 20-3.

Things could have been worse for Thomson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-37 loss to Josey when the teams last played last Tuesday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Josey's Kerri Fluellen, who went 7-for-9 en route to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.
