Basketball Recap: University Victorious

University came into Friday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 27-26 win over the Mountain View Mavericks. The 27-point effort marked the Titans' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

University's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Mountain View, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

University and Mountain View could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings. University (ranked 126th) will meet Kuna (ranked 46th) at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mountain View will challenge Jerome at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday down 59 places (77 vs. 18).
