Softball Recap: Salisbury Hornets vs. East Davidson Golden Eagles

If Salisbury was riding high off their 15-0 takedown of North Rowan last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Salisbury Hornets fell just short of the East Davidson Golden Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. Salisbury was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Davidson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April.

Katie Peeler put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Peeler was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Allie Peeler was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ashley Yang, who went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI.
