Preview: Antelope Titans vs. Inderkum Tigers

Antelope has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Inderkum Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Antelope took their match at home with ease, bagging a 42-12 win over River Valley. The win was just what Antelope needed coming off of a 44-3 defeat in their prior game.

David Whitten was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 152 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Whitten was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. Trevon Watson was in the mix as well, providing Antelope with two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Inderkum entered their tilt with Roseville with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Inderkum claimed a resounding 55-16 win over Roseville on the road. The result was nothing new for Inderkum, who have now won six contests by 39 points or more so far this season.

Inderkum's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ricky Cole led the charge by throwing for 274 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt. Cole is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lono Chouteau, who picked up 127 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Their wins bumped Antelope to 3-6 and Inderkum to 8-1.

Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as both teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Antelope commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 4.8 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Inderkum struggles in that department as they've been even better at 7.3 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.

Antelope was able to grind out a solid victory over Inderkum when the teams last played back in October of 2022, winning 34-26. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Inderkum's Giovanni Jorlen, who rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Antelope to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
