Football Game Preview: Blackman Blaze vs. Dobyns-Bennett Indians + Official Tickets

The Blackman Blaze will head out on the road to square off against the Dobyns-Bennett Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Blackman sitting on five straight wins and Dobyns-Bennett on seven.

Blackman is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They took down Gallatin 24-9. The score was all tied up 3-3 at the break, but the Blaze were the (much) better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Dobyns-Bennett ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Farragut with a 27-21 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Blackman's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Dobyns-Bennett, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 10-1.

Everything came up roses for Blackman against Dobyns-Bennett in their previous matchup back in November of 2015, as the squad secured a 56-10 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blaze since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
