Volleyball Recap: Admiral Farragut Wins Going Away Against Universal Academy

After losing to Universal Academy the last time they met, Admiral Farragut decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The BlueJackets put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22, 25-22.

Naomi McDowell paced Admiral Farragut's offense, picking up 12 kills. McDowell got some help from Leila Bakken and her 21 assists. Bakken and McDowell didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with six apiece.

Admiral Farragut pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Universal Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Admiral Farragut will challenge St. Petersburg Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Universal Academy, they will take on Out-of-Door Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
