Basketball Recap: Jordan Ramirez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Broome over Greer Middle College

Broome lost against Greer Middle College back in November of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Broome Centurions took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greer Middle College Blazers. That's two games in a row now that the Centurions have lost by exactly 11 points.

Broome lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordan Ramirez, who posted ten points and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Damarius Jeter, who earned ten points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Even though they lost, Broome smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 18 consecutive contests.

Broome's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Greer Middle College, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Broome will head out to square off against Mountain View Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Broome is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season. As for Greer Middle College, they will challenge Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union County also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 57.5 points per game.
