Baseball Recap: West Jefferson Comes Up Short

West Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 24-4 to the Firth Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Saturday.

West Jefferson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryker Burtenshaw, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Another was Wyatt Pancheri, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

West Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Firth, their record is now 10-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Jefferson is set to take on their familiar foe Challis at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Firth will square off against rival North Fremont at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
