Volleyball Recap: Cottonwood Comes Up Short

Cottonwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Murray Spartans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

While Cottonwood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 25-22.

Cottonwood's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Murray, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Cottonwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Murray, they will host Salt Lake Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Griffins will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
