Volleyball Recap: Advanced Math & Science Academy Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Blackstone Valley RVT, Advanced Math & Science Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Bay Path RVT Minutemen by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 18-25, 25-23.

Lily Braddix paced Advanced Math & Science Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Braddix got some help from Aysha Silva and her nine assists. Maria Elena Lambarena-Tanaka controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

The win got Advanced Math & Science Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Bay Path RVT, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Advanced Math & Science Academy and Bay Path RVT will both be playing Worcester Tech the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Eagles at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Minutemen will host them at 4:45 p.m. on the 15th.
