Ellsworth won the last time they faced Lyons and things went their way on Sunday too. The Bearcats walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lions.

Ellsworth easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16.

Alexis Moore paced Ellsworth's offense, picking up eight kills. Moore got some help from Kinly Place and her 13 assists. Place was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Ellsworth's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Lyons, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ellsworth beat the Lions by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.
