It was a good run, but Granite Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Mission Vista by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Lathan Fry paced Granite Hills' offense, picking up 17 kills. Fry got some help from Tristan McDaniel and his 21 assists. Hunter Hamilton controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Granite Hills' loss dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Mission Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-12 record this season.

Granite Hills has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Grossmont on the 29th. As for Mission Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Torrey Pines on the 26th.
