Kings is 2-8 against Milford since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Knights will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Kings will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.
On Monday, Kings got the win against Walnut Hills by a conclusive 14-1. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 13 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Taylin Sexton made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sexton was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Smith, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Natalia Brignoni-Marcano was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Kings always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Walnut Hills only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Milford fell victim to Lebanon and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Milford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Varner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Kings pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Milford, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
Kings was able to grind out a solid win over Milford in their previous meeting back in April, winning 9-6. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
