Basketball Game Preview: Blair Blazers vs. Kennedy Cavaliers

Blair and Kennedy are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Blair Blazers will square off against the Kennedy Cavaliers on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Blair saw some tournament action on Thursday. They snuck past New Hope Academy Regional with a 61-55 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Blazers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Tigers are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Kennedy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They beat the Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 59-56.

Blair now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Blair lost to Kennedy on the road by a decisive 77-58 margin in their previous meeting back in February. Can Blair avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
