Basketball Recap: Our Lady of Tepeyac Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Alexandra Jalomo and Kaila Santiago

Our Lady of Tepeyac lost against Cristo Rey Jesuit back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Our Lady of Tepeyac Tigers took a 31-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Kaila Santiago and Alexandra Jalomo certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Santiago posted six points, while Jalomo had six points.

Our Lady of Tepeyac's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-14.

Our Lady of Tepeyac won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Holy Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they will be playing at home against Walther Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
