Recap: Calaveras Red Hawks vs. Livingston Wolves

The Calaveras Red Hawks were the 61-37 winner over the Livingston Wolves when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Calaveras received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 53-39 to Livingston. Calaveras has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calaveras' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luca Pasqualin, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Clifton, who scored eight points.

Livingston found their leader in underclassman Adrian Aguirre, who scored 29 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Aguirre has scored at least 25% of Livingston's points. Damian Aguirre was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Calaveras has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Livingston, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calaveras and Liberty Ranch will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Liberty Ranch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday. Livingston and Ripon will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ripon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
