Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop O'Connell Knights vs. Collegiate Cougars

The Bishop O'Connell Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Collegiate Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop O'Connell will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Bishop O'Connell made easy work of St. Catherine's and carried off a 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Bishop O'Connell's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-11.

Bishop O'Connell can attribute much of their success to Natalie Hobson, who had nine digs and three aces, and Caroline Semko, who had nine digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Semko a new career-high.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Collegiate took on Potomac School on Friday. The Cougars came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1.

Collegiate was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-14, 28-26.

Collegiate's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Bishop O'Connell, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
