Softball Game Preview: Bruton Panthers vs. Grafton Clippers

Bruton is 0-10 against Grafton since March of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. Bruton will square off against Grafton at 4:30 p.m. Bruton will be strutting in after a win while Grafton will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Bruton made easy work of Northampton and carried off a 22-8 victory.

Bruton got a massive performance out of Nadya Hunter, who scored four runs and stole eight bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Zymeia Taliaferro was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing nine bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Grafton didn't have quite enough to beat Poquoson on Friday and fell 7-6. The Clippers have struggled against the Islanders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Bruton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Grafton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Bruton might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Grafton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Bruton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
