Volleyball Recap: Latin Takes a Loss

Latin lost against Whitney Young back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Romans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dolphins. The Romans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Latin ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19.

Latin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Whitney Young, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Looking ahead, Latin will take on De La Salle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Meteors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Romans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Whitney Young, they will face off against Taft at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Dolphins surely won't give up without a fight.
