Baseball Recap: Stoneham Spartans vs. Reading Memorial Rockets
Stoneham extended their losing streak to three on Sunday, dropping their season record down to 2-11 in the process. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Reading Memorial Rockets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
As for Reading Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.
