Softball Recap: Mount Tabor Takes a Loss

Mount Tabor lost against Reagan back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans came up short against the Raiders, falling 12-1. The Spartans just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Mount Tabor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Piper Cox, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Mount Tabor's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Reagan, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Tabor will head out to face off against Parkland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.8 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Reagan, they will venture away from home to take on Rockingham County at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
