Volleyball Recap: Aspermont Hornets vs. Ropes Eagles

Aspermont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Ropes Eagles. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 21-25, 25-15.

Ropes got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braedyn Reyna out in front who had 24 digs and two aces. Reyna is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Gallegos, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Aspermont's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Ropes, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aspermont will challenge Crowell at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Crowell is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Aspermont will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Ropes, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Olton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
