Softball Recap: Sevier County Smoky Bears vs. Jefferson County Patriots
Sevier County hadn't done well against Jefferson County recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Smoky Bears walked away with a 13-9 win over the Patriots. This was a revenge game for the Smoky Bears: when they faced off against the Patriots back in March, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.
Emma McClure was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madison Hartline, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

The Smoky Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Jefferson County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-3 loss against Knoxville Central on the 18th.
