Softball Recap: Fairless Comes Up Short

After flying high against Malvern last Saturday, Fairless came back down to earth. The Falcons lost 12-2 to the Tuslaw Mustangs on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Hannah Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Fairless' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Tuslaw, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairless will head out to face off against Tuscarawas Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tuslaw, they will head out on the road to challenge Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
