Volleyball Recap: The Burlington School Takes a Loss

The Burlington School was the 3-1 winner over Chatham Hall when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Turtles by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Turtles 25-18 in the first set.

The Burlington School took Chatham Hall into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-23, 25-18, 20-25, 15-9.

Lila Fowler paced The Burlington School's offense, picking up 13 kills. Fowler got some help from Eryn Timmons and her 20 assists. Makari DuBose controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

The Burlington School's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Chatham Hall, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The Burlington School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ledford on the 9th. As for Chatham Hall, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Halifax Christian on the 10th.
