 Two dominant  guards in  Brian Carter Jr. and  Murray Norman are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Ridgeway Roadrunners will challenge the Munford Cougars at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the  matchup red-hot, with Ridgeway sitting on  17 straight  victories and Munford on four.
 Last Tuesday, Ridgeway beat Raleigh-Egypt 63-50. Given Ridgeway's advantage  in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings  (they are ranked 13th, while Raleigh-Egypt is ranked 88th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Ridgeway's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Carter Jr., who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and nine  rebounds. Carter Jr. hasn't dropped below 16 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emanuel Allen, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and 15  rebounds.
 Meanwhile,  even though Melrose scored an imposing 72 points on Tuesday, Munford still came out on top. Munford walked away with  an   85-72  win over Melrose.
 Ridgeway is  on a roll lately: they've  won 18 of their last 20 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record  this season. As for Munford, their victory bumped their record up to 23-3.
