Holy Family has gone 9-1 against Mead recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Holy Family Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Mead Mavericks at 5:30 p.m. Mead took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Holy Family, who comes in off a win.
Holy Family is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Legacy to the tune of 70-30 on Tuesday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Holy Family's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexcia Oaxaca, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 16 points along with seven boards and six steals. Those six steals gave Oaxaca a new career-high. Gracie Ward was another key player, going 8-for-13 on her way to 18 points.
Meanwhile, Mead faced Broomfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Mead took a blow against Broomfield, falling 65-38. It was the first time this season that the Mavericks let down their fans at home.
Holy Family will need to focus on slowing down Darby Haley, one of several Mead players who made an impact when they last played. She posted nine points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Clark, who had 11 points and six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Mead smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.
Holy Family pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Mead, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 19-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Holy Family has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Mead struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Holy Family strolled past Mead in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 62-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holy Family since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
