Hunter Dawson gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Friday. San Marcos had no answer to Dawson as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dawson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Dawson and Carlsbad will square off against Rancho Bernardo at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
