Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Comes Up Short

Pinecrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Richmond Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Raiders are ranked 36th).

Pinecrest now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Richmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Pinecrest has already played their next contest (against Southern Lee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Richmond has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Hoke County.
