Basketball Recap: Kent County Trojans vs. North Caroline Bulldogs

The Kent County Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 65-39 defeat at the hands of North Caroline. Kent County has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the loss, Kent County still got an impressive performance from Zoe Angenieux, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 46.2% of Kent County's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Talicia Wright, who scored 11 points.

Even though they lost, Kent County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Kent County dropped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Caroline, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kent County will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Saints at 4:00 p.m. on February 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maryland (St. Michaels is ranked 241st, while the Trojans are ranked 222nd). As for North Caroline, they will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
