Softball Recap: South Rebels vs. Strongsville Mustangs

South put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Strongsville Mustangs with a sharp 15-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South.

Halle Zupancic was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Zupancic has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Zupancic was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, South got a massive performance out of Addyson Matriano, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Bella Hostutler was another key contributor, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a stolen base.

South's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Strongsville, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South will take on Wickliffe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Strongsville, they are on the road again on Monday to play Medina at 5:00 p.m.
