Softball Game Preview: Casa Roble Rams vs. Destiny Christian Academy Lions

Casa Roble is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Destiny Christian Academy is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Rams will host the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Casa Roble came out on top against Sutter on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run sixth inning. The Rams were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Huskies.

Cassandra Alvarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zaria Gee, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Leslie, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Casa Roble hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Destiny Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Dixon on Thursday, but Dixon never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 13-0 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Casa Roble has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Destiny Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
