Baseball Recap: Keifer Swager and Ronald Imhoff Secure Win for Bristol

Bristol's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Lordstown Red Devils by a score of 11-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kaiden Kohler made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. That run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Bristol let Ronald Imhoff and Keifer Swager run wild. Imhoff scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Swager went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Swager also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Croc Thorp, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Bristol's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Lordstown, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bristol will venture away from home to face off against Newton Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lordstown, they will head out to challenge Chalker at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
