Volleyball Recap: Lakewood Park Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Emilia Crider and Delaney Johnson

After flying high against Lakeland Christian Academy on Thursday, Lakewood Park Christian came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the West Noble Chargers on Saturday. The Panthers have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lakewood Park Christian was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 16 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16.

Delaney Johnson and Emilia Crider certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Johnson had 11 digs, while Crider had six kills. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lakewood Park Christian fell to 4-1. As for West Noble, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Lakewood Park Christian and West Noble will both be playing Mishawaka the next time they take the court. The Chargers will host the Cavemen at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
