Baseball Recap: Kalamazoo Central's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Kalamazoo Central came into Wednesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Norrix Knights by a score of 11-7 on Wednesday. The Maroon Giants have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Mason Hoenle was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Kalamazoo Central is 2-1 when Hoenle posts two or more runs, but 0-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Spada, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Kalamazoo Central's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Norrix, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Kalamazoo Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair will be back at it again later today.
