Softball Recap: Southern Comes Up Short

Southern managed to slip by Northern Garrett the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams lost 10-2 to the Huskies on Friday. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Emelee Parks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Southern has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Northern Garrett, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-5.

Southern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northern Garrett, they will challenge Meyersdale at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
