Basketball Recap: Clear Spring Comes Up Short

After soaring to 67 points the game before, Clear Spring was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They had to suffer through a 55-18 loss at the hands of the Catoctin Cougars. The Blazers were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in February.

Catoctin had a senior duo take command as Kelsey Troxell went 8-for-13 on her way to 20 points and six steals and Brooke Williams posted 14 points along with six steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Troxell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Hoyt, who put up six points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Clear Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Catoctin, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Clear Spring has already played their next matchup (against Middletown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Catoctin also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Williamsport.
