Basketball Recap: Pathway Christian Takes a Loss

Pathway Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Quad Cities Christian Eagles and fell 64-22. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-4.

When it comes to explaining why Pathway Christian lost, don't look at Denver Nelson. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points. Nelson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Luke Brokaw was another key player, putting up three points and six boards.

Pathway Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Quad Cities Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, Pathway Christian and Quad Cities Christian will both be playing Faith Christian the next time they take the court. The Panthers will host the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
