It's playoff time, and Lansing had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the St. James Academy Thunder 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Thunder back in August, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

St. James Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Catelynn Conrad, who had ten digs, and Mya Lee, who had 16 kills and 12 digs. Lee is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 14 games she's played. Ellen Dorsey also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Lansing and bumps their season record up to 30-10. As for St. James Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 27-11.

Lansing has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Blue Valley Southwest on the 1st. As for St. James Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Saint Thomas Aquinas on the 30th.
