Basketball Recap: Plantation's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

If Flanagan wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Plantation, they should've done a better job of containing Trevor Nolan. The Plantation Colonels walked away with a 60-53 victory over the Flanagan Falcons on Friday thanks in part to Nolan, who posted 24 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Jabari Washington, who put up ten points and eight boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Despite the loss, Flanagan still got an impressive performance from Jason Carias, who earned 22 points. Jayden Sainval was another key player, putting up ten points.

Plantation moved to 8-12 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Flanagan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Cooper City the next time they take the court. Plantation will head out to face Cooper City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Flanagan will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
