Basketball Game Preview: Jamestown Eagles vs. York Falcons

Jamestown is on a ten-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, York an 18-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Monday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles challenge the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Jamestown will be strutting in after a victory while York will be coming in after a loss.

Jamestown is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Tabb 59-27 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted since February 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, York had to suffer through a 55-20 loss at the hands of Grafton. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Clippers are ranked 81st).

Jamestown's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for York, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Jamestown came out on top in a nail-biter against York in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 49-46. Will Jamestown repeat their success, or does York have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
