On Thursday, Lincoln Southwest had to settle for second even though Jace Erickson put up the best numbers he has all season. Erickson rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles (0.5 for loss) and defending two passes.

Erickson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Buena Vista on Friday. The matchup will pit Erickson up against the Bison's star rusher Zyaire Tucker. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
