Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heartland Christian Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 50-31 loss last Wednesday.

Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Heartland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heartland Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Cornerstone Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Heartland Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
