Shaw lost against Cairo on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders lost 10-1 to the Syrupmakers.

Shaw saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Khloe Dorminey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 while logging 1 double and 1 RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Shaw and nudges their season record down to 13-9. As for Cairo, they have been on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's given a solid lift to their 16-5 record this season.

While Shaw had to take the loss this time, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
