Soccer Recap: Havelock Takes a Loss

Havelock lost against Northside - Jacksonville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams lost 5-1 to the Monarchs. While losing is never fun, Havelock can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Northside - Jacksonville are ranked 145th).

Havelock has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Northside - Jacksonville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4-2.

Coming up, Havelock is taking a road trip to face off against Swansboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Swansboro's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they will host Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northside - Jacksonville's defense better be ready for this one: Dixon have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season.
