Softball Recap: Penn Cambria Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Penn Cambria, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Central Dragons on Wednesday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Penn Cambria let Grace Sheehan and Aubree Rickens run wild. Sheehan went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Rickens went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs Rickens has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Logan Krug, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Penn Cambria hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The win snapped Penn Cambria's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-13 record. As for Central, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
